Beloved: 365 Devotions for Young Women by Lindsay A. Franklin

Zondervan has a new devotional out for young women called, Beloved: 365 Devotions for Young Women written by Lindsay A. Franklin. This devotional has one page to read each day of the year that includes a Bible verse, some devotional thoughts from the author and some space at the bottom of each page for notes. The book begins with verses in Genesis and moves through the whole Bible taking verses that speak specifically about women and applies it to the life of young women today. This book would be appropriate for teens.

I thought the author tried to approach the reader on their level when talking about the daily verse. I wish there was a little more depth to the devotional, but it’s more about a thought for the day than deep study. The book itself is beautifully designed and would make a great gift for a teen girl in your life.
