From the Back Cover:
Claire's visit to a luxury hotel in Maine awakens repressed memories, threatening all she holds dear.
In 1989, Claire Dellamare disappeared from her own fourth birthday party at the Hotel Tourmaline on the island of Folly Shoals, Maine.  She showed up a year later at the same hotel, with a note pinned to her dress but no explanation.  Nobody knows where Claire spent that year--and until now, Claire didn't even know she had ever been missing.
But when Claire returns to the Hotel Tourmaline for a business meeting with her CEO father, disturbing memories begin to surface...despite her parents' best efforts to keep them forgotten.
Luke Rocco lost his mother under equally mysterious circumstances--at the same time Claire disappeared.  After a chance encounter reveals the unlikely link between them, Claire and Luke set out together to uncover the truth about what happened that fateful year.
With flashbacks swimming just beneath her consciousness and a murderer threatening her safety, Claire's very life depends on unscrambling her past...even if her family refuses to acknowledge it.  Someone--maybe everyone--is hiding something from Claire Dellamare, and it will cost her everything to drag the truth out into the light.

My Review:
The first book of this series lives up to Colleen Coble's reputation for a great mystery novel filled with suspenseful situations, intrigue and murder.   I enjoyed reading through this novel and it definitely kept my interest from beginning to end.  Colleen gives enough information to get your mind working to try to solve the puzzle in the story without giving away important plot information too early.  She really is a master at weaving together a good plot and tying all the loose ends up at the end.  I've really enjoyed reading her novels and look forward to seeing more from her in the future.  If you're looking for a good suspense novel, pick up The Inn at Ocean's Edge and start a great new series!

A Heart's Obsession by Colleen Coble (Journey of the Heart book 2)

The story continues in A Heart's Obsession, the second book of Colleen Coble's Journey of the Heart series.  After finally finding out Rand is alive and well, Sarah looses him again as he runs off to the West to make a life for himself.  Sarah being torn between caring for her ailing father and following the love of her life, chooses to stay with her family and care for her father during his last days.  When Sarah's father passes away, she wonders if it's possible to find Rand and take up where they left off.

I've been enjoying reading through this series.  The books are pretty short --only 98 pages in this one--and do not take much time to read through at all.  There are six of these short books in all the make up the Journey of the Heart series.  Colleen is always good at throwing a little suspense into her plots.  It's great for adding fun to a story and keeping you wondering how things will turn out in the end.  I admire the character of Sarah.  Amazed at how she is keeping her mouth shut and yet looking out for others.  It'll be fun to see how she develops as the story continues in books 3-6.
