My Review:
Lynn Austin is definitely one of my favorite author. I was so excited to get the second book of this series since the first one was phenomenal! This second book did not disappoint. I love how her novels push me to want to read the actual biblical account of the story after finishing her books. This continuation of the story of Israel in Babylon brought out many situations I hadn't thought through before. When reading through the story of Esther, I always thought about Esther and her plight, but never really considered all that the Israelites would of felt facing the edict of their impending death from the King. It's brought about a different perspective for me to consider while reading about God's chosen people. The author has done a wonderful job breathing life into the characters of the story. Her writing draws you into the story and takes you on a journey that will make a lasting impact on how you'll view the Scriptures dealing with the Jew's exile. I highly suggest you pick up this series. It's one that you'll definitely want to add to your library!
